The Mission
Suburban Fireground Concepts was formed after a lot of encouragement by my colleagues and friends, and as a culmination of my years of experience In various aspects of fire and emergency services and with a genuine desire to help firefighters and fire departments succeed. I see a regular void of simple approaches to everyday fire service needs in small and mid-size departments and through my own experience hope that I can provide my services to assist your fire department on the path to success.
About Me
Michael Guzy
I Started my fire service journey In 1993 In central New Jersey as a junior firefighter. During my time In emergency services, I have worked In many facets of the field which has given me a good perspective on how things work, where we succeed and where we can work to improve.
I've served all of my time In small to mid-sized communities, beginning and still serving as a volunteer as well as working as a fulltime Fire Captain In the 26th year of my career.
Through all of my experiences, I have developed a fondess for engine company related work, apparatus and equipment design and specification and most recently an Interest In common sense fireground management from the Company Officer level up to Chief Officer level.
I am passionate about firefighting and have always been driven to seek excellence In all aspects of the fire service I have been Involved In. I truly enjoy bringing my experience and Insight to other departments to help them make Improvements.
I reside In Central Jersey with my wife and son and our 2 dogs. In my free time I enjoy weight lifting
